The 20th Anniversary of the Nobel Conference on Health Research for Development was commemorated in New Delhi on April 20, 2010. Here is a Report on the Event:
The Nobel Conference was organized in 1990 in Stockholm to review and take forward the Report and recommendations of the Commission on Health Research for Development. Dr. Sunil Chacko was the Assistant Director of the Commission and for much of its life, the sole full-time professional staff member.
It has been decided to revive the Health Commission, that had been defunct for 20 years, with Dr. Sunil Chacko as the new Chairman.
